Elephant Painting with Meaning Meaningful Examples of Symbolism in Art
Elephant Symbolism in Art An elephant painting can be used to meaningfully decorate your home. For example, elephants images may be used to enhance good luck and prosperity. In the past, they were used to carry royalty in the east. Elephants are loved and revered around the world for their intelligence and their noble gentleness. They are also associated with qualities such as strength and passion. Generally speaking a raised trunk is considered to be lucky and fortunate. In this painting, the raised trunk occurred after imbuing the female figure with its power. Spirituality speaking, elephants are seen as transformational and symbolize the True Self. Overall, the symbolism in "Manu" represents the quest and understanding for the Meaning of Life.
Examples of Symbolism in Art: The large red eye indicates an entry point or beginning point to the painting. It is a portal for accessing new ways of looking at life. The eye is also embellished with 7 decorative circles, which in turn symbolize the 7 chakras. There are a total of 37 circles in this painting. When numerologists make their calculations they reduce 37 down to 10. Number 10 represents karmic-free, new beginnings. The red umbilical-looking cord (situated in the upper left corner of the painting) represents a small section of a fractal. Fractals are discussed further on: This Page. Underneath the crowned elephants body there are depictions of a sea horse, swan and a sea-princess. Together they represent the freedom and grace of living in harmony with the watery, subconscious parts of your personality.
The Creative Process The process of creating this painting was exciting and illuminating. One day I intuitively announced that I intended to create a painting. At that time, I did not consciously know what it was going to be about, but somehow knew it had to be born. This developed into a dynamic relationship that lasted 9 years. As it unfolded, I discovered an ability to express previously unformed ideas that had been coalescing within. To read a brief summation of these ideas, in addition to the symbolic meaning of colors, please return to Different Types of Art and Images.
