What is True Beauty?
The Quest to My Personal Philosophy In Life

What is true beauty? And why are we so captivated by its magnetic force? Does this subject have a deeper level to explore? Questions like these have always fascinated and intrigued me. Yet in the beginning, I did not realise that this was part of the journey towards finding my personal philosophy in life. My love of beauty seemed to be more of an instinctual thing.

That is until…

One day I was sitting on the edge of a property edged by tall, majestic trees. As I was taking in their awe-inspiring magnificence my awareness came to expand.

"Wow," I thought. "Nature is so beautiful and powerful." This led to a further consciousness shift in the form of a mathematical equation.

Nature  =  Power of Beauty  +  Beauty of Power


I realised that beauty and power work together in harmony to synchronise the dance of nature and maintain the balance and equilibrium of all things. And while they are opposites, they could not exist independently from the other and because of this neither one holds a greater or lesser value.

This simple philosophy also shows that when there are states of disorder such as the turmoil of war or environmental degradation, too heavy of an emphasis has been placed on only one half of the equation. To redress the imbalance we need to reclaim the missing, yet entirely complimentary part.


Something else to note is that this equation can be utilized in another way. The attributes of beauty and power can be exchanged with other pairs such as the ones listed below.
