Have you wondered why do people dream and what's the purpose of dreams? Discover how the different aspects of the mind work together. Learn the language of dreams, dreaming in metaphors and dream symbolism. So, let's begin the discussion...
You have files with information about who you are stored in your dreaming mind, and you have files with information about who you are stored in your logical, analytical mind. When you dream your night time task is to find both sets of files within each aspect of the intellect to compare them. You have different bodies within you. (Think of them as suits you don) You have one body which can access the world of your dreaming mind and another which can access the world of your logical, analytical mind. You need to travel in the correct body to visit each world.
Different Aspects of Your Mind The files stored in the logical, analytical mind use information from formalized knowledge. The type of information that is sourced, tested and experienced through the five senses. These are the concepts and data that would normally be collected, stored and cross-referenced through formats such as a dictionary or an encyclopaedia. The files stored in the dreaming mind use the language of metaphors and symbols, accessed from internal sources of wisdom. The style of language utilized and communicated by artists, poets, musicians and other innovators.
Dreaming in Metaphors and Dream Symbolism
Because metaphors and symbols are just a way of saying something is something else, you can use them as a vehicle to transfer 'the files' from the dream world to the physical, daytime world for analysis. For the purpose of analysis, once you have found both sets of files, you will need to hold them next to each other within your consciousness. Then meditate on the two with the intent of merging them together as one. The power contained within the metaphors and symbols can be unlocked by engaging your feeling of intuition.
